Inarc Design Hong Kong Limited was commissioned to provide the Interiors for a two-phased renovation programme for five new venues within the existing Clubhouse.
These two venues are located in a basement floor, the main entrance to the ‘The Melody Lounge’ is highlighted by a bold design feature of concentric back-lit portal frames. Members are drawn through this entry portal into a unique, small reception area and greeted by the receptionist before being escorted into one of two large multi-entertainment facilities, each with a seating capacity of 10-12 persons. The circulation ‘spine’ of this venue has been created around the shape of ‘musical notes’ while ‘piano key’ patterns have been designed into the stone floor.
The main entrance to the ‘The Derby Lounge’ is also highlighted by a bold design feature of concentric back-lit portal frames. Members are drawn through this main entry portal into an intimate reception area and greeted by the receptionist before being escorted into the live-music area or the quiet lounge areas. The overall design solution for ‘The Derby Lounge’ creates a series of multi-layerd, semi-transparent partitions that provides members and their guests with semi-private spaces in which to sit, chat, drink and smoke their favourite cigars while at the sametime still providing partial views through this unique venue.
