Description | The Architecture and the Interiors of a new 43,000 sm, sixteen (16) level, four-five star hotel |
Completion | Unbuilt |
Inarc Design Hong Kong Limited was commissioned to initially provide a master plan and the Architecture concept for a four-five star hotel with approximately 300 guestrooms on the water front of Lantau Island close to Hong Kong International Airport. The buildable area is approximately 43,000 sm on a site of approximately 11,000 sm and the hotel has an eleven (11) storey guestroom tower above a three (3) storey public space podium and all guestrooms face the seaview.
A modern design for the Architecture has been created with a focus on heritage references to the nearby Tai O fishing village and on ‘Green’ design elements including landscaped roof gardens, double glazing (low E) windows and sustainable energy design for the building services. The hotel guest tower and podium are proposed to be clad in zinc and glass to minimise future maintenance and to blend in with the surrounding natural landscape while a new jetty / boardwalk will facilitate quick transfers between the Tung Chung Ferry Pier and the hotel.
