Inarc Design Hong Kong Limited was commissioned to provide the Interiors for a phased renovation of the existing 8,000sm Clubhouse including the signature Derby Restaurant and Bar, library and mahjong rooms; the Chater ballroom and function rooms; large male and female change rooms; the coffee shop, food court and support kitchens; and the indoor and outdoor swimming pool areas. Inarc Design undertook extensive studies with the management to firstly, develop an agreed master plan for the whole Clubhouse and secondly, to create unique, quality interior settings for a diverse range of activities.
For the 4/F Food Court, a glass conservatory was created to maximise the views to the pool area and the unique roof structure of the Clubhouse; special teak sculptural timber frames were designed to house the lighting requirements for food display; and for the coffee shop, tall colourful glass screens were created to filter the abundance of natural day light and create a unique atmosphere.
