Inarc Design Hong Kong Limited won an international design competition for the Interiors of three special suites for the Valley Wing of the hotel. In particular, the Presidential Suite totalling 650 sm was required by the Client to be the preferred suite for the majority of all political dignitaries visiting Singapore with accommodation including a private lift, entrance foyer, large living / dining area, three large bedrooms each with their own ensuites, guest powder room, kitchen and a charge d’ affairs office.
A luxurious quality interior environment was created suitable for entertainment by a high level of clientel and the suite was voted by Hotels magazine USA in 2004 as one of the eight best Presidential Suites in the world. Since opening, the suite has been used by the President of the United States of America, the Prime Ministers of Japan and Australia, and the Kings of Malaysia and Jordan.
