Inarc Design Hong Kong Limited was commissioned to re-design their premier accommodation facility at the Happy Valley Racecourse namely, the Stewards Boxes which are grouped on three (3) floors of one building, totalling 5,500 square metres and have spectacular views of the racecourse.
The design solution was not only to re-plan and enlarge each Box in order to accommodate the dining and entertainment requirements of the Chairman and Stewards during the night race meetings but also to provide a quality interior environment. Selected materials included hand woven carpets, “Makore” timber acoustic ceiling panels and custom designed crystal chandeliers. Also, new kitchens and “dumb-waiters” were installed on each floor together with private betting facilities and bathrooms.
